COMMUNICATION

My communication expertise spans verbal, visual, and written mediums. I excel at crafting clear messages and telling persuasive stories

VERBAL

This presentation marked the culmination of a program at UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design, where my team and I proposed a plan to revitalize West Oakland. Presented to civic development experts and other guest critics, our project focused on how we could incorporate transit-oriented development and environmental resilience strategies in a culturally-sensitive way.

VISUAL

For my public outreach internship at Interboro Partners, a Brooklyn-based design firm, I worked with a small team to produce a newsletter series for Bronx-based advocacy group Banana Kelly. The newsletters contained articles written by fellows from the Harvard Mindich Program in Engaged Scholarship on a variety of topics within the scope of environmental racism in the South Bronx.

This is an infographic I made for a class American Rebels & Outcasts. It is about the narrative of Robert Moses, one of the most prolific characters in Urban Studies, and aims to capture his descent into corruption and greed.

My final project for an Environmentalisms in Perspective class took the form of a GIS story website about the global chocolate industry. Maps, images, and quotes accompany my essay about how the production system not only dominates West African cacao farmers, but also enlists them to dominate their children and their land.
